In this configuration, the 50 Yacht engages its foils from 2,500 rpm. From that point, the cruising speed of 17-18 knots increases very quickly as the throttles are pushed further - reaching 21.7 knots at 2,750 rpm. At this speed, fuel consumption is 165 l/h, about 20% lower than what we observed at maximum rpm with the 380 hp engines. In flat seas, the hull bulbs are noticeably more out of the water - certainly more so than in the non-foil version. At full throttle (3,065 rpm), we were indeed able to exceed 25 knots, as intended by the builder, while maintaining remarkable stability.
