Among the affected companies is Catana Group, where two of the three buildings at its historic site were completely destroyed by the fire. Fortunately, the third building, which houses the production molds, remains intact.
At the time of writing, Catana Group has not yet commented on the industrial consequences of the fire, which directly affects production of the largest Bali model, the 5.8, as well as the Catana OC50.
The builder, which employs around 1,300 people across four production sites, also operates manufacturing facilities in France, Portugal, and Tunisia. These should help limit the overall impact of the disaster on its operations.
At this difficult time, everyone at Multihulls World would like to express their heartfelt support to the management and staff at Catana's Canet-en-Roussillon facility.
