A month before the launch of the very first Veya 53, we were invited to discover this brand-new powercat at the Guy Couach shipyard in Gujan-Mestras, on France’s Atlantic coast. It was a rare opportunity to go behind the scenes at one of the country’s most historic boatbuilders, where over a century of expertise and cutting-edge technology are now being channeled into a new generation of motor catamarans.

Florent Battistella kept his promise: the new Veya 53, developed through a joint venture between Fountaine Pajot and Couach Catamarans, will make its world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival. The CEO of Couach recently showed us hull #1, scheduled for launch on July 13, as well as the three subsequent units currently under construction.
