Sheltered by the Baja California Peninsula, the Sea of Cortez offers one of the finest cruising grounds on the planet for a catamaran charter. Warm waters, secluded anchorages, protected islands and extraordinary wildlife all combine to create the setting that ocean explorer Jacques-Yves Cousteau famously described as “the world’s aquarium.”

The anchorage at Jimbaran, on the west coast, can be a bit rolly but the low swell is great for surfers. Lacking good shelter, the bay isn’t really suited to long-term stays.
