The famous American equipment supplier has become the world leader when it comes to equipment used in any maneuvers involving any lines. Blocks, traveler cars, winches, hydraulics: this company fits out all sorts of boats, and of course multihulls. We were able to visit the factory which produces 17,000 of the 35,000 winches that are produced annually around the world.

Out in the Italian countryside between Milan and Lake Como, there is a grey building with the word Harken, written on it, in red letters.
