A Powercat Underway to Conquer Europe?
Clearly, Aquila Boats has chosen to surprise us this year... the brand has launched no fewer than four new powerboats and has just announced a complete range of sailboats! Among these announcements, the Aquila 46 Yacht stands out: in addition to replacing the brand’s best-selling 44, it made its world debut in Europe. So, a few days ahead of its official presentation at the Cannes Yachting Festival, we got the chance to discover this new model.
The Aquila 46 Yacht reveals a more aggressive design than its predecessor, the 44. The wave-piercing bulbs at the bottom of the bows ensure remarkable seakeeping.
The stepped section that raises the foredeck could well be the new signature of the Yacht range. Note the large surface area of the hull portholes.
The shipyard has opted for a continuous aft deck with XXL sugarscoops rather than an added platform. The central section is therefore fixed and relatively small - only the center of the tender rests there once hoisted aboard using the electric crane.
