Piracy: now here’s a subject that is brought up on a regular basis on the pontoons and in the forums – rather less though in boating magazines. It goes without saying that it’s a disturbing subject: we would rather encourage you to set out for a fun trip on your multihull than frighten you… So, we’re not going to talk about individual cases here, or mention heavily armed security guards. The idea is to make you better aware of the risks that you run when you are ocean cruising, and how to be prepared, without letting the paranoia take over.
