The resumption of boat shows a year ago was disrupted by a complicated winter period... but the dynamics witnessed at these events showed that virtual visits have undoubtedly reached their limits. Of course it is possible to sell a multihull costing several hundred thousand dollars by video via a smartphone... but passionate sailors will always prefer to discover a new multihull in real life, to meet the people and discuss with them in person. And that’s a good thing: autumn in the northern hemisphere is traditionally the time when the new yachts begin being presented in the water. The multihull industry is of course playing the game and is mainly investing in the Cannes Yachting Festival early September to preview to the public what they’ve got in store for 2023…
