THE WIZARD OF MASSACHUSETTS Richard Newick (1926-2013), better known as Dick, was one of the most talented multihull architects of the latter half of the twentieth century. Dick was paddling on European rivers from just after the end of the Second World War, gaining a perfect knowledge of kayaking, and therefore of gliding through the water.
