The company is strengthening its presence in North America's main cruising areas through Virgin Island Yacht Brokers, which will cover the British Virgin Islands, US Virgin Islands, Saint Martin, St. Croix and Grenada, and West Coast Multihulls, which will now represent the company in Southern California, including San Diego and Marina del Rey.
Rather than developing a traditional dealer network, Catamaran Gurus is relying on local partners capable of supporting owners throughout the life of their boat. Beyond the purchase itself, the services offered include charter management, technical support, maintenance, financing, resale and assistance with cruising programs.
This expansion comes just a few months after the Catana Group acquired a stake in Catamaran Gurus. According to Steve Varrow, Caribbean Operations Director and Senior Yacht Broker, it reflects changing market expectations, at a time when owners are increasingly looking for comprehensive, long-term support rather than simply a brokerage service when purchasing their multihull.
