Multihulls: the generation war
After a year without a race, the mythical Bol d’Or Mirabaud made its comeback on June 12th to celebrate its 82nd edition. 439 boats, including 33 multihulls, competed on Lake Geneva for victory in the world’s largest closed-basin regatta. The arrival of the new TF35 foilers in the race has reshuffled the cards while opening up the game.

A generation war was becoming apparent among the multihulls. Lake Geneva and its capricious conditions, ranging from very calm to very windy, have always been one of the driving forces motivating crews aiming for outright victory.
